It's only just the a good number astonishing finale result in "Idol" history--since several pundits (myself included) had him pegged as the winner the moment he entered the audition room--but it's not one without argument.
After four male champions in a rank, loads of "Idol" fans were no hesitation hopeful that runner-up Jessica Sanchez, arguably the technically best vocalist of Season 11, would be the girl to break the female pest on "Idol." And I believe that "Idol's" powers-that-be were rooting for Jessica as well. definitely it would have been a fantastic PR growth for the "Idol" permit (which over the years has, wrongly or not, been accused of being a stopped up door to contestants of color or of the fairer sex, or on the whole any competitor that doesn't sing rock or country music) to explosion out a press free declaring, "FIRST GIRL WINS IN FIVE YEARS quite than have to send out yet another anticlimactic statement that yet one more cute young boy has prevailed.
